Oz Capoeira Association

Oz Capoeira Association (OCA) is a newly formed association in 2007. It aims to promote, encourage and develop a positive Capoeira community around Australia. OCA is a non-profit organisation, currently building their membership from individuals and groups interested in Capoeira.

Lorem Dias and Leonardo Pimentez, both from Brazil are the founders of the association. Each has been teaching Capoeira for more than 10 years in Brazil, Europe and Australia. They have taught various community groups, schools, academies and gymnasiums. They also performed Capoeira demonstrations on television. They perform Capoeira in shows and at parties and also hold workshops. Lorem and Leo are very passionate about Capoeira and aim to bring Capoeira to the rest of the world. They want to demonstrate part of the Brazilian culture through Capoeira as an expression of freedom.
